The Role

  • The DC-SME will require
    • Subject matter expertise in project managing the data centre project life cycle with experience in data centre design and build.
    • Responsible for Architecture, detailed ENGG & design with optimisation of BOQ, based on site condition.
    • Create relevant ENGG documents such as HLD, LLD, Single line diagram, site wise layout and UAT.
    • Should have hands on experience of Data Centre implementation with strong domain knowledge on Civil interiors, Electrical, DG, UPS & IBMS
    • Should have designed/ implemented large Data Centre (Type-3 or 4) across various part of India, covering - Precision air cooling, UPS, Earthing, Flooring and Rack sizing and positioning, and Installation and commissioning of Passive infra including IBMS.
    • Additional knowledge of design of Green Datacentre would be preferred.
    • Should have design experience, Engineering BOQ optimisation and Electrical infra optimisation.
    • Project planning, management & delivery execution
    • Strong skills in interpersonal relationship
    • Vendor management
    • Comprehensive knowledge in technical consolidation
    • Knowledge of the build / construction process and a thorough understanding of installation and commissioning methods

  • Vendor management during project execution which involve:
    • Align with procurement to shortlist and identify vendors along with solution and opportunity owner during proposal stage
    • On winning the opportunity, onboard vendors - release SOWs and purchase orders in line with the respective project
    • Educate the vendor backend office on processes of how to provide necessary documentation on material delivery, billing and support on resolution of any issues.
    • Define project milestones and timelines
    • Align their project management schedule to the requirement
    • Material delivery planning in line with execution timelines
    • Support vendors to build their sub vendor network for timely material delivery
    • Enable vendors to meet their and our financial milestones
    • Manage vendor cost flow in line with project financials.
    • Support the vendors to resolve any issues related to their material delivery reconciliation, invoices, payments etc


  • Delivery team governance
    • Drive cadence / reviews with team to achieve smooth execution of project and financial objectives.
    • Completion of Project Milestones as per project plan and quality work
    • Enable team to ensure Compliance and Satisfactory Audit Posture.
    • Evolve innovative solutions to mitigate unforeseen project delays and cost over runs.
    • Manage issues and risks with through periodic governance and appropriate mitigation plans.
    • Mentor team on all aspects of the business

Who You Are

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have overall expertise in Data Center build projects
  • Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Projects, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Able to work in a team environment, work through conflict with others, collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and manage stress.
  • Must have analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written, verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • BE degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and / or equivalent work experience of over 15 years in the data centre industry.
  • Certifications CDCP Certified (mandatory)
