As an Consult Enterprise Architect with Kyndryl, you will have the chance to work with some of the world's most innovative and dynamic companies, helping them to achieve their business goals through the strategic implementation of technology. You will be responsible for connecting our customers' business needs with their IT strategy, using a range of architectural models and views to create a clear picture of how their requirements can be met in an agile, sustainable, and flexible way.

You will need to be able to understand our customers' needs and constraints and apply industry knowledge and best practices to develop effective IT solutions, working closely with customers to understand their unique challenges and use your expertise to develop a high-level enterprise-wide IT architecture that maps IT capabilities to business needs. You will be expected to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing comprehensive knowledge of our solutions offerings, strategies, and direction as it relates to the customer's business, infrastructure, and industry.

The Consult Enterprise Architect role consists of the following key responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

Work with our consult partners and clients to develop and maintain a comprehensive architecture roadmap, identifying technology trends and assessing their potential impact on the business

Business Analysis

Collaborate with our client business leaders to understand their requirements, translating them into technical solutions that align with and deliver their business goals

Architecture Design

Lead the design and implementation of technical architectures for new systems, considering scalability, security, performance, resiliency and integration needs

Solution Evaluation

Evaluate and existing and proposed systems to ensure alignment with architecture principles and the business objectives

Technology Governance

Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance processes to ensure consistency and quality across IT systems

Stakeholder Management

Communicate architecture plans, risks, issues and decisions effectively to senior leadership, technical teams and other stakeholders

Risk Assessment

Identify potential risks associated with technology architectures and propose mitigation strategies

Implementation Oversight

Provide guidance and leadership to technical project teams during the system implementations to ensure alignment and compliance with the overall architecture

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Enterprise Architectures
  • 3+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect
  • 10+ years of experience developing, integrating and maintaining IT Architectures, across end-to-end process including business, applications, data and infrastructure components.
  • Knowledge and experience working with and enabling enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, other)
  • Knowledge and experience working with Industry Capability Models and Business Capability Models, to develop Industry/Business driven technology solutions
  • Proven experience in designing, integrating and implementing complex IT systems across various technology domains (cloud, data, applications, network, infrastructure)
  • Extensive experience in establishing and running architecture governance for an enterprise or major technology programs
  • Knowledge and experience leveraging consulting methods in client engagements (Issue Based Consulting, SWOT, other)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large scale technology projects with cross-functional architecture teams

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Relevant industry certifications (TOGAF, OpenGroup Certified Architect, Hyperscaler, etc.)
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture Tooling (Alfabet, LeanIX, others)
  • Business Architecture Models and/or Business Capability Models for an Industry
  • Experience with one or more hyperscaler

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $134,160to$254,880based on a full-time schedule.

Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $147,600 to $305,880

Colorado: $134,160 to $254,880

New York City: $161,040 to $305,880

Washington: $147,600 to $280,320

Washington DC: $147,600 to $280,320

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
