As a Consult Core Services Delivery Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Solutions Architects and subject matter experts (SMEs) delivering Mainframe and iSeries Consulting services to Canadian clients. These projects include Mainframe Modernization, Mainframe Optimization, and, to a lesser extent, IBMi consulting. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations and requirements are met, and that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. You will collaborate closely with the Mainframe and IBMi Practice team to participate in the solutioning process, align on resource planning, skill development, and ensure quality delivery of projects. A strong background in Mainframe technologies, modernization approaches, human resource management, leadership, and consulting skills is essential.

  • Lead and manage a team of Solutions Architects delivering Mainframe and IBMi -based consulting projects, migration, and application modernization projects for our clients.
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the team, along with performance feedback and coaching.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project delivery methodologies, best practices, and tools.
  • Work closely with the pre-sales team to identify and develop new opportunities and collaborate with the business development team to enhance our project delivery services portfolio.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in Mainframe and IBMi technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in delivering Mainframe and IBMi projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading and managing teams of Solutions Architects and SMEs, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of Mainframe and IBMi technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong consulting, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

This position requires the employee to work on a regular basis with Kyndryl stakeholders located in other Canadian provinces, the United States, or internationally where English is the common language, making knowledge of the English language a requirement for this position in addition to fluency in French.
