In this role, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, defining sourcing strategies, and selecting providers that align with our customers' IT and automation strategies. You will be the trusted advisor, accountable for delivering highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that provide lasting and measurable value to our esteemed customers. Your expertise in prioritizing use cases, conducting ROI and business case analyses, and seamlessly incorporating security and resiliency into future state designs will shape the foundation for success.
You will strategically develop a future state vision and roadmap, revolutionizing the infrastructure and network requirements to meet the ever-evolving needs of both IT and business. You'll be the catalyst for improved performance and productivity, identifying areas where efficiency can be optimized, costs minimized, risks reduced, and performance enhanced. As an IT/Cloud Consultant at Kyndryl you will join the Kyndryl Consultant Profession, working with other Kyndryl Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and cross-functional Technical Subject Matter Experts - presenting unlimited opportunities with unmatched support through our investment in your learning, training, and career growth.
Who You Are
You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree in IT Management or Cloud Computing is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years in medium-sized projects, with the ability to autonomously design, implement, and optimize infrastructure in AWS and Azure. Must have solid technical knowledge, good practices in automation, and experience working in collaborative teams under agile methodologies.
Hard Skills:
- IaC Tools & Languages: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM Templates, Ansible.
- Scripting & Automation: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
- Cloud Services: AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, etc.), Azure (VMs, Storage, Functions, Monitor, etc.).
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline.
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS, Azure AKS.
- Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
- Monitoring: AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana.
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams (development, security, finance).
- Change Management: Drive adoption of cloud-first policies and overcome resistance.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Adaptability: Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends.
- Results-Driven: Focus on meeting KPIs for quality, efficiency, and security.
Knowledge:
- Hybrid Cloud Architecture: Design and deploy hybrid infrastructure.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and reduce costs on AWS and Azure.
- IaC Best Practices: Modular design, code reuse, and state management.
- Agile Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban for DevOps teams.
Key Experience:
- Production Deployments: At least 2 projects using Terraform or CloudFormation/ARM in AWS and Azure.
- Automation: Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
- Monitoring: Set up and manage monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).
- CI/CD Integration: Work with DevOps teams to integrate infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- IaC Management: Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM Templates. Automate tasks with tools like Ansible and Python.
- CCoE Alignment: Ensure IaC practices align with CCoE standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Multicloud Optimization: Integrate and optimize resources across AWS and Azure.
- Project Management: Facilitate collaboration in agile teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
- CI/CD Implementation: Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment.
- Change Management: Promote cloud-first adoption, provide training, and manage transitions.
- Innovation: Lead process improvements, research new tools, and ensure infrastructure aligns with business needs.
