We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced API Consultant to join our Application Consulting team. You will play a critical role in leading and managing strategic technology initiatives related to architecture. Your expertise in program management, enterprise architecture, and customer engagements combined with a sound set of technical skills will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of complex projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects that drive innovation and competitive advantage in enterprise API management, ability to close gaps on mission critical application through mix of IaaS, PaaS, and containers
- Ability to define and communicate API features, security aspects, scalability, metrics, and API monetization
• Direct software development teams on API best practices, preventing API inconsistences, API sprawl while ensuring to meet client demands
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technology roadmaps that align with business needs, including reference architectures and consistencies across API service level offerings
- Collaborates with development and other cross functional teams on approach for API design and implementation, communicates technical and strategic insights to customers, and practice leadership on expected outcomes
- Performs competitive research and evaluation of enterprise technologies and vendor offerings
- Perform presales and technical sales support, outstanding communication skills, with ability to communicate with internal and external customers at all levels including executives, engineers, architects, and non-technical audiences, end users.

Required Skills
• Over ten (10) years of software development experience developing and managing extensible API-based applications and/or architecting web and mobile applications with API dependencies
- Deep knowledge of API Gateways and API's function and design
• Experience in microservices, service-oriented architecture, RESTful techniques, event driven design, Node.js or other runtime environments
- Experience with redesigning governance architecture processes
• Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
• Excellent written verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and see the big picture, combined with attention to detail
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing and implementing workflows and other automations using low-code tools
• Cloud and/or architecture level certifications
• Master of Science in Computer Science, MBA, or related field
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $107,400 to $204,000 based on a full-time schedule.
Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
California:$118,200 to $244,920
Colorado: $107,400 to $204,000
New York City: $128,880 to $244,920
Washington: $118,200 to $224,520
Washington DC:$118,200 to $224,520
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
