The Role

You will contribute to project delivery by assisting in developing technical specifications, systems design and operational support documentation. You will develop robust and future-proof application solutions in accordance with the approvedsoftware development lifecycle.

Job Description:

  • Provides the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming and DBDC subsystem programming support on which applications are developed and/or deployed.
  • Expertise is required in many environments which may include operating systems, application development platforms, networking, packaged software, etc. Guides functional objectives on technologies.
  • Advises other professionals.
  • Effectively utilizes group dynamics.
  • Recognizes complex problems related to functional objectives and drives solutions to problems.
  • Leads RCA discussions for their products.
  • Analyzes situations and implements solutions, or develops new system elements, procedures or processes.
  • Creativity and judgment applied to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.
  • Provides ongoing technical /operational guidance to lead professional work teams, conducts special projects, or manage department(s) (national or international.
  • Defines and decides objectives within specified business concept or project and may have responsibility for tools and assigned resources.
  • Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function.
  • Regularly participates in overall functional program planning.
  • Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact project costs or expenses.
  • Problem analysis and determination of Db2 related issues.

Who You Are

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Has at least 1 to 5 years' experience and expertise in Adabas and Natural SW and knowledge in JCL.
  • Provides the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming and DBDC subsystem programming support on which applications are developed and/or deployed.
  • Expertise is required in many environments which may include operating systems, application development platforms, networking, packaged software, etc.
  • Guides functional objectives on technologies.
