JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage and maximize the financial performance of the Service Deli department. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain compliance with the following:
    • divisional merchandising, general safety and food safety, fixtures/equipment usage and maintenance, and shrink control
    • corporate policies
    • labor agreements, when applicable
    • quality ordering
    • freight stocking standards
  • Sell products to customers; teach selling skills
  • Plan ads/store events
  • Implement weekly Merchandise Notes/bulletins, and memos to complete merchandising assignments
  • Maintain awareness of daily/weekly sales and goals and communicate to associates
  • Implement the period promotional plan
  • Perform price changes, audit, and correct errors
  • Promote and follow company initiatives
  • Perform cashier functions
  • Verify completion of daily tours
  • Participate in the associate scheduling process
  • Maintain clean condition of the facilities
  • Review/analyze and take action on all financial reports
  • Respond to verbal and written customer comments
  • Complete customer incident and associate incident/accident report forms
  • Perform inventory
  • Work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas)
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus six months of company experience and two years of related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age/19 years of age in Idaho
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • Ability to work within set time frames
  • Ability to continue education
  • Kroger Food Safety Level 1 Certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Any licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state

Desired
  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and company email
  • Experience directing and participating on project teams
