JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is for a Project Manager to join the Corporate Information Security - Chief of Staff team. Their primary focus will be on the management, tracking, distribution, promotion and creation of Cyber Security Training and Awareness programs for the organization as well as analyzing and improving communication channels between CIS, KTD and the broader corporation. They will also be expected to serve as an IT Project Manager overseeing various CIS project workstreams as needed.

Lead small to medium projects or sub-components of large programs, impacting several cross-functional areas. Partner with cross-functional teams to support agile and product centric ways of working. Applies project management principles and frameworks to guide and serve teams that deliver technology solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute and facilitate projects within accepted disciplines using leading enterprise tools (i.e., planning, measuring, and controlling)
  • Promote and demonstrate collaboration, team accountability and transparency
  • Implement and ensure adoption of Kroger's Product-centric principles
  • Facilitate engagement of teams for quality, compliance and security leading practices
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Engineering, Agile Delivery, Product, Portfolio and Business for project definition and execution
  • Partner with Product Management to encourage synergy and alignment in delivery and provide clarity and foster collaboration with stakeholders in a consistent way
  • Communicate program/project status to stakeholders
  • Document issues, risks, decisions, and leads team to develop mitigations and escalations
  • Partner with Engineering, Agile Delivery, Product, and QA to develop resource plan(s) for project execution
  • Oversee team onboarding to project assignments
  • Lead and direct the work of assigned resources to project(s), in partnership with Engineering, Agile Delivery, Product, Business and third-party application vendors
  • Expand Kroger and domain knowledge
  • Coach peers via knowledge sharing/leading practices
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Engineering, Agile Delivery, Product, Portfolio and Business to coordinate creation and definition of 3rd party contract(s)
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks
  • Monitor budget/capacity plan and reports variances; partners with the Portfolio team to build, review and adjust forecasts
  • Create and communicate data-driven reporting to stakeholder to highlight progress and readiness for delivery/rollout
  • Facilitate plan adjustments based on stakeholder alignment
  • Implement new and leading practices
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM
  • PMP Certification or Project/Program Management certification equivalent or willingness to obtain
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills
  • 2+ years prior experience in leadership position delivering projects or a subcomponent of a project
  • Working knowledge of project management, and portfolio concepts, practices, procedures and technology/project life cycles
  • 2+ years of expertise and experience in delivering project or a subcomponent of a program to meet organization objectives in a project management capacity with Agile teams
  • Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation
  • Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers, peers and partners within the organization

DESIRED
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven success as a Project Manager (PMP desired)
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Experience of managing training courses and their creation
  • Any cyber security experience is a plus
