JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide general administrative accounting support and ensure the accuracy of cost data and sales. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Enter production data into Brands Standard Cost (BSC), balance sales and unit to system, and review receiver and inventory input
- Investigate variances, review cost reports, maintain BSC files, set up new items and make corrections to the system

- Prepare financial and operational reports, such as weekly sales, cost containment data accumulation, plant performance and labor productivity reports
- Assist the financial manager in a variety of financial projects
- Interface with production associates on cost and financial projects
- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts
- Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements and procedures
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree business related field
- Ability to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to accomplish tasks accurately within rigid time frames and resolute deadlines
- Proven ability to understand complex written and oral instructions
- Thorough knowledge of plant operations and procedures

Desired
- Experience in manufacturing and/or union environment
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and Hyperion Essbase
- Previous experience in cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting
