JOB DESCRIPTION
Focus on population health efforts such as preventative care, chronic condition management, patient counseling, be involved with recruitment and retention of clinical study participants and manage patient communication stemming from clinic interactions. Ensure compliance with Kroger Health policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations including GCP standards. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the achievement of the established department goals/objectives and adhere to department policies, procedure, quality standards, and safety standards
- Perform skills and duties that are within the scope of nursing practice
- Pre-screen potential research participants to determine initial eligibility and interest in the research study
- Maintain required Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification
- Manage Kroger Health Clinic patient communication
- Support Kroger Health Value-Based Care initiatives
- Utilize the company information systems as directed and in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
- Keep nursing knowledge current by completing continuing education
- Effective patient counseling focused on preventative care and chronic conditions
- Participate in other operational duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to interact with patients remotely, sit, write, operate the computer and phone, speak intelligibly, and hear patient responses
- Specific vision abilities include the ability to view and read a computer screen and other electronic devices
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Associate Degree in nursing (ADN)
- Registered Nurse license
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Good computer skills: electronic medical record experience preferred
- Ability to remain confidential
Desired:
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing (BSN)
- Previous experience in clinical research
- Direct patient care experience
- Previous experience with patient health coaching and counseling
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification
- Knowledge of FDA regulations to govern the conduct of research trials
