JOB DESCRIPTION

Create Marketing collateral with the Marketing team that meets corporate objectives while maintaining visual continuity and effectiveness. Evolve and push our digital design work forward, while creating seamless user-centered digital experiences across various platforms, including websites, digital advertising, and email campaigns, with some social media graphic support. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all types of digital campaigns and be a conceptual thinker
  • Identify new opportunities to elevate our brand in the digital space, while staying up to date on best practices in eCommerce and UX
  • Evolve and push digital design work forward, while creating seamless user-centered digital experiences across various platforms, including websites, digital advertising, and email campaigns, with some social media graphic support
  • Produce high-quality designs for websites, email campaigns, digital ads, social media, and other digital touchpoints
  • Develop designs that are intuitive and user-friendly, considering functionality, usability, and aesthetic appeal
  • Ensure all designs align with the brand's identity, visual guidelines, and tone of voice
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital design best practices
  • Optimize designs for various devices, ensuring they are responsive and adaptable to different screen sizes and resolutions
  • Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs to improve performance and user engagement
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, advertising or related field, plus 5+ years of experience in digital design, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in creating compelling and functional designs
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design
  • Ability to produce high-quality visual designs with attention to detail Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design choices and collaborate effectively
  • Portfolio showcasing previous digital design work, including web and advertising campaigns. Must include a working link to your online portfolio
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles
  • Ability to work overtime on an occasional basis
Desired
  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Experience working with printers, photographers, and art direction
  • Prefer experience with animations, motion design and/or video
  • Knowledge of Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, and other relevant design software
