JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:
Provide a safe working environment for all employees and customers in our stores while maintaining equipment. The associate will be responsible for communicating with supervisors, associates and vendors. The equipment to be serviced includes, but is not limited to, all HVAC systems and all refrigerated systems in all departments and assists in other repairs as needed. An advanced level of electrical/mechanical skills as well as an advanced level of HVAC&R control systems. Working with the Kroger FAST Alert System as well. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

  • Perform Energy Visits at many Kroger store locations
  • Energy Maintenance/Equipment controls management-inspect/adjust refrigeration, HVAC and Time of Day controls for maximum efficiency and minimum operating costs without compromising food or associate safety
  • Parts and equipment management-equipment to be services includes, but not limited to: all HVAC systems and all refrigeration systems in all departments. Assist in other repairs as needed.
  • Participate in a preventative maintenance program that will include documentation and repair of equipment
  • Work efficiently with Altech, CPC, Danfoss controls systems and other technologies available in our industry
  • Keep equipment operational and in safe conditions and provide safe use of equipment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of schedules as required (nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Moderate travel
  • Participate in a service "on-call" rotation for 24 hour response.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.


QUALIFICATIONS

    Desired Previous Job Experience Minimum Position Qualifications:
    • Ability to travel independently
    • Ability to organize and prioritize
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
    • Moderate to high level of computer skills
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ability to work with other teammates
    • Overtime may be required at times
