RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete a semester program in the company's headquarters by working with managers to gain an understanding of the Environmental Compliance group in the Ethics and Compliance department. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
- Apply theoretical concepts that have been learned in the classroom to hands-on work assignments
- Collaborate with all business sections of the Ethics and Compliance department and other corporate groups
- Assist the Environmental Compliance team with daily tasks and gain an understanding of the responsibilities and work done in the department
- Assist with the maintenance and improvement of business reporting functions
- Conduct store visits to audit retail hazardous waste programs
- Support the team's projects
- Participate in department meetings
- Complete specific assignments
- Complete a cumulative project (summary of accomplishments) and present it to the executive team and appropriate managers

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
Pursuing a degree in environmental engineering or environmental management preferred, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0
Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work

Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently
Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization
Ability to analyze and interpret information and apply to business needs
Commitment to providing customer service
Prior experience in a construction environment
