JOB DESCRIPTION
Execute company standards and initiatives to effectively utilize labor and control variable expense. This includes division/store usage of all labor tools (ELMS/Scheduling), as well as continual improvement of sanitation and sustainability of ecological resources. Develop and achieve division budgets, goals, and strategy/action plans for implementation of company/division labor, scheduling, variable and sustainability initiatives. Responsible for integrity, usage, communication, functionality, training, results and the implementation of all enterprise labor system tools and all aspects of variable expense, sanitation and sustainability. This includes coaching/training of the Operations field specialist, district managers, and store teams. Communicate and influence all levels of leadership throughout the division for labor, scheduling, expense, sanitation and sustainability items. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for budgets and results of Financial Page 5NF lines for clerk wages and variable expense; utilize financial tools to analyze results and make recommendations for improvements while coaching district/store teams to achieve labor/expense goals
- Collaborate with various roles and departments both corporately and at division/district levels to review and react to unfavorable financial performances and drive success in achieving targeted savings/revenue goals
- Work with Labor Forecasting Center of Excellence to deliver accurate weekly sales and labor forecast, by store, to achieve all promotional objectives and business plan budget
- Understand and manage all division scheduling inputs/outputs to include headcount, scheduler roles, forecasted/scheduled/worked hours and all end user functionality
- Understand contractual bargaining language and how it impacts scheduling
- Implement corporate expense reduction, sanitation and sustainability initiatives for the division
- Support Zero Hunger, Zero Waste in achieving company and division waste, recycling and food rescue goals
- Develop and maintain vendor relationship while staying in alignment with Corporate ESS and Enterprise Sourcing teams for vendor performance and accountability
- Spend 50% of time visiting stores with detailed focus on labor best practices, effectively scheduling, and expense results, addressing opportunities in an uplifting manner
- Report period, quarter, and yearly results to business stakeholders
- Coach best practices, drive transformation change, and improve execution down to store/department level for labor, scheduling, expense, sanitation and sustainability initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Any experience training complex systems with critical thinking skills
- Any retail store management or comparable experience
- Strong knowledge of labor and expense management principles to include labor, expense and scheduling
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership in corporate and division settings
- Ability to engage in new areas and facilitate change across the enterprise
- Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to learn Business Objects, Smartview, KTV, Dodeca, Financial Desktop, ePRO, I-Payables, COUPA and P-Card expenses
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills
- Alert to new ways of approaching tasks and processes

- Any district Operations coordinator/field specialist experience
- Any store management or Retail Operations experience
