JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Execute company standards and initiatives to protect company assets in stores throughout the division. Develop division goals and strategies/action plans for implementation of company/division asset protection (AP) initiatives. Identify/coordinate AP initiatives in collaboration with corporate/division operations and merchandising management. Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as subject matter expert and lead the division in execution of company AP/waste management initiatives
- Enable leadership to incorporate AP into operational/merchandising strategy; lead period/quarterly review meetings to focus on achieving AP goals
- Ensure development and implementation of corporate/division best practice programs, policies and strategies on AP/shrink reduction
- Develop and communicate division short/long-term plans and budget to achieve AP goals and monitor key performance indicators to ensure forward progress
- Partner with division leadership to identify/resolve conditions that affect shrink, safety and profitability by establishing programs, auditing for compliance and communicating awareness; analyze store security needs and deploy resources
- Collaborate with key division positions to explore, identify and implement AP initiatives and remedy deficiencies
- Communicate and analyze inventory/bottom 20 results
- Prepare budgets for uniformed/undercover security, capital expenditures, AP associates and expenses
- Interact with the technology team and vendors to ensure AP capital expenditures/repairs are installed to company specifications
- Maintain relationships and represent company interest with local, state and federal law enforcement
- Review/prepare case reports for criminal prosecution and testify in civil, criminal and union hearings
- Travel to stores regularly to ensure execution of AP initiatives; maintain availability after hours and on weekends
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS
- Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:
- Bachelors degree
- Store management, merchandising and/or district coordinator
- Knowledge of Kroger enterprise systems
- Working knowledge of CCTV, alarm, access control and locking systems
- Wicklander certified; CPP or CFI certification
- 5+ years retail asset protection in a multi-store format
- Proficient at developing effective solutions to diverse business problems
- Excellent operational, consultation and problem resolution skills
- Success collaborating/influencing across all organizational levels
- High integrity, sound business judgment and ability to maintain confidential information
- Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills
