JOB DESCRIPTION

Direct, support and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the Fuel department in order to achieve established goals and ensure quality standards are met. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote trust and respect among associates by communicating company, department and job specific information
- Establish performance goals for department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets
- Develop adequate scheduling to meet customer needs
- Train and develop associates with job performance and participate in the performance appraisal process
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines including restricted sale items such as tobacco
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold at the Fuel Center, and assisting them with issues at the Fuel stations
- Partner with store management to create and implement a department business plan to achieve desired result
- Share knowledge of upcoming specials with department associates
- Monitor and control expenses for the department
- Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take
- appropriate action on all financial reports
- Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process; Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions; note any discrepancies
- Responsible for fuel delivery and documentation of fuel inventory
- Follow opening and closing procedures for Fuel center
- Perform cashier functions including, opening/closing register, ringing sales, completing tender transactions, till maintenance and money drops according to company policy
- Promote safety by reinforcing programs, complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions to management
- Maintain state, local and company compliance reports and logs
- Complete incident and security reports
- Maintain spill kits, clean-up spills and submit Fuel Spill Report on fuel website
- Maintain knowledge of emergency plans numbers and procedures
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Maintain security of kiosk, coolers, merchandising equipment, dispensers, and fuel tanks according to company policy
- Report all safety risks, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate personnel of any items in need of repair
- Stock and inventory merchandise in kiosks
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kiosk and all equipment related to the fuel center
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
Desired
- Fuel experience
- Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing
