JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a Adv QA Manager role and will be part of the Horizontal QE organization within Fulfillment technology space. This team supports Performance Testing, E2E testing and drives QE strategy across all the Fulfillment product teams.

Manage the development and support of a federated quality assurance (QA) model. Manage a quality team responsible for software quality testing and reporting. Lead and implement the QA direction and function as a liaison across the technology organization. Lead and uphold the associate continuous high-performance process. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage quality efforts across Technology domains to include developing and implementing test strategies, documenting testing and requirements, develop manual and automated test cases and drive execution that ends in successful quality releases to customers

- Provide technical consulting and leadership, identifying and implementing new quality assurance and tooling that assist functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives
- Manage relationship with business stakeholders, ensuring high standards and quality of technical solutions, keeping abreast of latest technology developments
- Implement QA standard tooling, best practices, and metrics across the technology organization
- Facilitate, measure and report on solution area quality maturity assessments to ensure teams are maturing and SLA's are being delivered continuously
- Partner with QA leaders to innovative and implement processes to expand reach of automated quality assurance standards
- Partner with QA leaders to recruit, screen, and select high performing quality engineers
- Implement new QA best-practices which ensure successful deployments across the technology organization
- Establish/support QA communities of practice that enable solution areas to adopt and drive quality ownership
- Establish key metrics and dashboards to provide status and insight to development teams and management
- Manage offshore team members and drive offshore staffing value
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports

- Leading quality strategy and operations for major product initiatives

- Collaborating with development and product leaders on release criteria

- Reviewing and refining testing frameworks

- Conducting 1:1s with team members, focusing on growth and performance

- Facilitating team problem-solving sessions for complex quality challenges

- Coaching team members on both technical and leadership skills

- Reviewing and providing feedback on test plans and approaches

Cross-functional Collaboration

- Participating in engineering leadership meetings

- Consulting with product teams on quality standards and requirements

- Negotiating quality tradeoffs with development counterparts

- Collaborating with DevOps on CI/CD quality integration

Process & Tools Optimization

- Analyzing quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities

- Leading initiatives to enhance testing automation and efficiency

- Implementing cross-team quality standards and best practices

- Evaluating new testing technologies and approaches

Reporting & Communication

- Presenting quality status to senior leadership

- Communicating quality risks and mitigation strategies

- Creating visibility into quality metrics and trends

- Advocating for necessary quality investments

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree computer science, computer engineering, or related technology field
- 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering position
- 5+ years of experience as a technology administrative manager or a software quality manager
- Demonstrated understanding of QA methodologies, including debugging, performance testing, stress testing, and automation
- Strong communicator who can partner with engineering and product focused teams
- Ability to attract, retain, and grow people to create a self-organized and highly empowered team
- Solid administrative and project management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization
- Understanding of and practice with agile software development and management
- Knowledge and understanding of systems, procedures, and technology/product management
- Proven experience leading Technology initiatives

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive quality strategies

- Experience building quality into SDLC rather than treating it as a final stage

- Proven track record of balancing quality with business constraints

Technical Expertise

- Strong understanding of modern testing architectures and approaches

- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration

- Ability to make informed technical tradeoff decisions

Team Leadership

- Experience building and developing high-performing QE teams

- Proven coaching and mentoring capabilities

- Track record of hiring and retaining quality talent

Stakeholder Management

- Ability to influence product and engineering decisions based on quality data

- Experience negotiating resource needs and quality standards

- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Process Leadership

- Experience optimizing quality processes across teams

- Demonstrated ability to implement quality gates and standards

- Track record of driving process improvements that increase efficiency

- Master's Degree computer science, computer engineering, or related technology field
- Any experience in a software development position

- Experience with predictive quality metrics and dashboards
