Overview
We are seeking a Financial Analyst within the Strategic Pricing department. In this role, you will analyze client needs, evaluate competitor pricing, prepare financial proposals, and assess the effectiveness of various pricing strategies. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods and proven experience in a similar position. A successful Financial Analyst in Strategic Pricing will be adept at converting pricing data into actionable strategies that drive profit growth.
This individual will be expected to develop pricing proposals for a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 1000 companies, global and commercial enterprises, colleges, hospitals, and government agencies. This role involves collaborating with various sales channels to provide detailed price analysis support, identifying and suggesting strategic pricing models based on market conditions, model mix, model service profitability, TCO analysis, age of equipment and utilization of usage remaining and competitive environments.

This role will also support pricing needs within existing contracts and programs. Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Leasing, Legal, Contracts, Portfolio Management, and Executive Teams is essential to create and provide accurate and timely price proposals.
Responsibilities
- Recommending pricing strategies that align closely with client needs, company profitability, and market trends and identifying new opportunity to deliver value
- Extensive analysis of all incoming pricing requests
- Provide pricing guidance and support to sales teams to develop pricing strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
- Provide support during negotiations and deal structuring as needed.
- Prepare and present final financial pricing analysis for required approvals
- Gather and analyze customer feedback and refine pricing strategies.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations for adjustments based upon market trends to increase profitability and market share.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and pricing benchmarks.
- Assist in preparation of financial presentations and analysis for senior management and field sales personnel.
- Maintain open and constant high- level interaction with field sales and service, senior management, leasing managers, and various internal departments to obtain the information necessary to develop strategic pricing proposals and implement competitive pricing strategies.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and properly presented for integrity.
- Calculate proposed ROI/Profitability Analysis for opportunities (including RFPS).
- Maintain established contracts by processing renewals, model adds/deletions.
- Ad hoc pricing related activities and documentation as needed to support business needs
Qualifications
Competencies
- Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills
- Disciplined with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of team
- Proven critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of industry - specific pricing strategies and market dynamics is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required (i.e. vLookup, pivot tables)
- This position requires exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- High level of business acumen preferred.
- Display effective judgement and decision-making abilities
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) software a plus.
- Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and develop dynamic pricing tools.
Experience, Educational Requirements and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or pricing analysis
