Overview

The Senior Consultant - Azure is an expert in Microsoft Azure technologies, with extensive knowledge and experience. The Senior Consultant - Azure will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact solutions and services to our customers, enabling them to achieve their business objectives through the efficient use of Microsoft Azure Technologies.

The Senior Consultant - Azure will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal, and customer stakeholders, establishing strong relationships and understanding of unique business needs.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Microsoft Azure solutions, ensuring alignment with customer objectives, adhering to IT Weapons and Industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to execute comprehensive solutions.
  • Be an ambassador of IT Weapons message and culture to colleagues and customers
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with other teams in the organization
  • Professionally document all work performed and submit accurate timesheets daily
  • Constant focus on improving IT Weapons Design and Build standards
  • Maintain an agile mindset with a constant focus on delivering the right solution for the customer
  • Assist with providing project scope and designing solutions
  • Assist the Solutions Architecture team with developing Statements of Work and proposals including solution overview, consulting estimates, software/license requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide Microsoft Azure expertise, execution, and advisory services to IT Weapons' customers
  • Working with the project team (Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, Consultants) to execute assigned tasks according to the timelines established for the given project/activity
  • Provide Subject matter expertise to diagnose and remedy issues that are escalated by customers, project stakeholders, and/or other members of the service delivery team
  • Handle multiple assignments, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Focus on increasing profits through efficiencies
  • Project scoping and documentation proficiency
  • Participate in training to maintain expert-level proficiency in your field
  • Achieve and/or renew relevant certifications as required
  • Perform quality control checks on customer environments or project tasks as required
  • Experience interacting with project stakeholders, vendors and customers
  • Provide input for the future of the technology practice (evaluating vendors, products, solutions, etc.)
  • Be an escalation point for members of the Consulting teams
  • Participate in the initiation and execution of research & development (R&D) initiatives
  • Assist resources in the implementation of technical solutions for an array of customers

Qualifications

  • University Degree and/or related Technical Diplomas are encouraged
  • 10+ Years experience executing technical implementations
  • 7+ Years experience leading technical implementations
  • Proven assessment, design, planning documentation, and implementation experience
  • Expert-level experience deploying Microsoft Azure solutions across the Azure platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and a strong understanding of Azure capabilities and limitations
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, and Well-Architected Framework
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 is an asset
  • Automation and/or Scripting experience (i.e. PowerShell, VBScript, ARM, Terraform, Bicep)
  • Proven experience delivering solutions in mid-market and enterprise customers
  • Strong consultative skills required
  • Foundational knowledge of infrastructure design including LAN/WAN, messaging technologies, database technologies, security solutions, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management solutions
  • Large, complex project management experience
  • Proven dedication to enabling quality through continuous improvement

  • Must be dedicated to meeting the operational needs of assigned customer segments
  • Must have a security-focused approach to solution delivery
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven success at building and working as part of a team.
  • Proven dedication to enabling quality through continuous improvement
  • Exhibits strong coaching, decision-making, and leadership skills
  • Cloud and Managed Service Provider experience is an asset
  • Possess valid and clear driver's license
