ACCOUNTABILITIES
EFFECTIVE INSPECTION AND REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT
- Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and strappers
- Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, boilers and cardboard conveyor
- Regular maintenance and repair on all housekeeping, power and material handling equipment

QUALITY MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF FACILITY
- Perform minor electrical/plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
- Routine maintenance of heating and air conditioning units
- Maintain lighting throughout the facility
- Sort/stack/load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling
- Set up/take down meeting rooms
- Upkeep of yard area, fence repair, snow removal/salting
EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH TEAM MEMBERS AND OUTSIDE VENDORS TO ACHIEVE A COMMON GOAL
- Assist outside contractors to perform various duties
- Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment
- Comply with all MSDS standards and lock out/tag procedures
- Ability to climb ladders and run all power equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must provide own basic set of tools
- Ability to use cleaning/disinfecting solutions, oil and equipment according to MSDS procedure
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Basic math and reading skills and legible handwriting
- Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
- Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately
- Regular attendance
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical activity may include time standing/walking up to eight hours with scheduled breaks. Ability to work in a multi-level environment, including climbing stairs, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 100 pounds on occasion with assistance
- May be required to take a drug screen
