This role is based at our Photo Studio in Milwaukee, WI. You'll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
About the Role
As Digital Asset Specialist, you will support Kohl's through organizing, trafficking, archiving and retrieving of digital assets, ensuring seamless asset management across the organization. This role develops, implements, and maintains cohesive asset workflows, taxonomies and asset standards while advocating and partnering with IT and other business units to continually improve process and workflow, supporting creative and production.
What You'll Do
- Organize, manage, and retrieve digital assets in-line with best practices and industry standards
- Tag assets with accurate metadata, ensuring consistency and adherence to asset standards
- Perform preparatory and quality control tasks to ensure assets are ready for use
- Provide communication and support to various stakeholders on asset management, workflows, and process standards
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in asset and content management systems, making recommendations
- for improvement
- Act as a business subject matter expert, keeping current with metadata and workflow standards
- Educate and advocate for users on workflow tools, processes, and standards to ensure efficient use of resources
- Assist with RAW image processing and on-set image capture as needed

What Skills You Have
Required
- Degree in library science, photography, media, or journalism
- Experience in a high volume photo studio, imaging, or retail environment
- 2+ years experience with enterprise-level asset management
- Experience with Capture One, Adobe Lightroom or similar capture software
- Proficient with current Mac OS
- Working understanding of metadata standards and practices, schemas, taxonomies and file formats
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain strict deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience in a high volume photo studio, imaging, or retail environment
- Understanding or experience with applescript, scripting or similar programming languages
- Experience with Capture One, Adobe Lightroom or similar capture software
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems (Windows, Android OS, iOS)
