Opportunity

The Sr Enterprise Strategy Analyst helps lead Kohler’s enterprise strategy, consisting of working with KLT members on defining Kohler’s Enterprise Strategy and working with leaders within the business units on strategy deployment and strategic planning. The main outcomes that the Sr. Enterprise Strategy Analyst is contributing to are an up to date long-term (5-year) Enterprise Strategic plan, detailed plans for each strategic priorities and support to the implementation of these strategic priorities to drive Kohler’s mission to enhance the level of gracious living for all people touched by our products and services.

The Sr Enterprise Strategy Analyst is a creative, analytical, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning and being a team member evolving in a collaborative environment. This person is also a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. He/she is accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. The Sr Enterprise Strategy Analyst demonstrates strong analytical, conceptual problem-solving, communication and leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual’s ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.

The Sr Enterprise Strategy Analyst is part of a team that works with Kohler’s enterprise, business, and functional leaders to define, create, plan and monitor strategic initiatives across the organization. This includes the creation and coordination of content in service of strategy and performance updates to Kohler’s Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of key enterprise, business, and functional strategies for the organization under the guidance of the Director of Enterprise Strategy.
  • Develop (market, industry, customer, consumer, competitive) trend analysis to enable discussion of future opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct market, industry, customer, consumer, competitive analyses to build recommendations and inform Kohler’s (enterprise and businesses) strategy
  • Participate in discussions regarding mission, strategy, and metrics for the company under the guidance of the Director of Enterprise Strategy.
  • Engage in development of overall enterprise strategy vis-à-vis external (including competitive strategies) and internal environments; works with Strategic Planning Analyst to monitor and facilitate discussions around strategic risks and opportunities.
  • Identify and continuously monitor key strategic initiatives – bringing benefits of $100Ms for the organization – for ways to accelerate and remove roadblocks.
  • Support deployment of enterprise strategic priorities across business, geographies, and functions, closely working with other members of the Enterprise Strategy team and the businesses’ teams.
  • Coordinate with business and functional partners – including global and regional partners – to implement strategic priorities.
  • Support M&A team on acquisition target analysis and business case development 
  • Support businesses in developing their strategic plan during the annual enterprise strategic planning process; integrate (financial and human) resource allocation and budget processes into strategic planning.
  • Help build the annual enterprise strategic plan: key initiatives, timeline, metrics, owners, and financials/ budgets.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Requires 2+ years of work experience
  • Very strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills.
  • Good familiarity with the techniques used to gather and analyze market and company data.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
  • Track record building strong working relationships would be a plus.
  • Strength in creating structure within ambiguity.
  • Flexible and agile, comfortable with making pivots.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint) required.
  • Ability to develop business plans and model financials (in Excel) required.

The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $119,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.  Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
