Competitive Compensation: Starting at $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (hours may vary). Occasional overtime before the shift starts.

Ann Sacks (a division of Kohler Co.) is a leading distributor and manufacturer of luxury tile, stone, and plumbing. Known for its exquisite collections, Ann Sacks offers a wide range of products that include hand-sculpted vanities, stone bathtubs, and a curated selection of marble and stone furniture. Our showrooms, including the newest one in Charlotte, NC, provide an inspiring environment where customers can explore our luxury tiles and slabs. The Charlotte showroom, opening in January 2025, will feature our latest designs and innovations, making it a premier destination for high-end tile and stone.

We are looking for a Lead Warehouse Team Member for the Slab Gallery. This position will be based at our Charlotte, NC location, where we specialize in luxury tiles and slabs. The ideal candidate is experienced in inbound/outbound operations, has strong forklift skills, and is customer-focused with a growth mindset. This hands-on leader will have strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative nature.

 

Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to the daily warehouse/slab gallery operations, including prioritizing shipments, outbound freight carrier documentation, inbound goods receipts and documentation, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Practice and ensure all are following required safety regulations. Take corrective action to fix any violations or poor safety conditions and report to management. Maintain accurate documentation on safety training and issues.
  • Responsible for accurate inspection, documentation, posting of all inbound goods, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Safely unloading containers of slabs.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of outbound customer shipments. Ensure all shipments are packed to company brand standards. Carrier documentation is completed and accurate.
  • Ensure the workflow of warehouse operations and proactively avoid bottlenecks while adhering to warehouse lead times for inbound material, outbound shipments, customer samples, and returns.
  • Man hour planning, warehouse/slab yard operations schedule, departmental budgets, establishing work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, recommend and implement process changes to drive increased efficiency and utilization.
  • Maintain time and procedure records.
  • Oversee the training of new employees.
  • Evaluate the performance of employees and provide recommendations for promotions or transfers.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with leadership responsibilities in a warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Slab handling or equivalent experience not required, but preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to SAP or similar operating systems.
  • Lean manufacturing exposure.

Relationships & Contacts

Supervisory Relationships:

  • Reports to the Warehouse Manager - Ann Sacks.
  • Supervises a warehouse team of 1-2 employees.

Organization Relationships:

  • Frequent contact with company support departments.
  • Moderate contact with showroom personnel.
  • Occasional contact with Merchandising/Purchasing personnel.

External Business Relationships:

  • Frequent contact with freight vendors.
  • Occasional contact with product or supply vendors.
