What You’ll Do
At Koalafi, we use data-driven insights to inform business, product, and underwriting decisions. In this role, you will manage our valuations model and portfolio performance forecast, which are critical for informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have the technical and analytical skills to maintain existing models, the judgment to improve or replace processes, and the communication skills to establish credibility with users and executives. You will partner closely with analysts from the Risk and Finance teams to create a user-friendly interface and deliver accurate forecasts that drive financial planning. In this role, you will:

- Maintain an existing valuations model through regular calibrations against actuals to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Expand the breadth and improve the accuracy of second order assumptions through analysis of performance data
- Automate model monitoring and refine the process for recommending adjustments
- Develop new prediction methodologies to accurately capture the dynamics of unique segments
- Generate a standard set of tranche-level performance predictions and vertical financial statements
About You (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree required, in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Engineering preferred
- 1-4 years’ experience in an analyst, data science, or consulting role
- Experience in consumer financing industry preferred, such as: credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, BNPL, or similar field
- Experience related to loss forecasting, financial forecasting, or loan valuations
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet concurrent, rigorous deadlines
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to communicate with data in written and verbal contexts
