The Vice President Digital Products will lead the strategy development, implementation, and measurement for a variety of digital products across KinderCare that creates business value through digital leadership. The three main capabilities an incumbent will bring are product vision, execution, and team building and product culture creation. This leader will be responsible for building and inspiring the organization with their vision across the digital products landscape, ensure exemplary execution in an agile way, and nurture product talent while accelerating collaboration and delivery and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision:
    Lead the full digital product lifecycle from ideation through launch and iterative improvement, ensuring a seamless integration of customer-centric innovation and business objectives. Provide visionary leadership across 8 product teams and several customer value streams, with a focus on long-term sustainability and scalability.


  • Product Strategy & Road mapping:
    Define, evolve, and communicate the digital product strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's overall goals and responds to changing market trends and customer needs. Develop multi-year roadmaps (1-5 years) and oversee the strategic coordination of multiple product verticals, aligning business value-based ROI priority frameworks and ensuring timely delivery and maximum market impact.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Drive collaborative efforts between product, design, development, marketing, and executive teams, ensuring alignment on key product milestones and business priorities. Regularly interface with the executive leadership team to provide updates on product performance, strategic risks, and necessary interventions.


  • Market Research & Innovation:
    Guide the organization in continuous market research, user needs analysis, and competitive landscape assessment. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform forward-thinking product development decisions that position the company as an industry leader.


  • Culture of Innovation & Agility:
    Champion a culture of innovation by promoting creative exploration of new technologies and design approaches. Foster an agile mindset within product teams and ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices, driving continuous improvement across all teams.


  • Data-Driven Product Management:
    Ensure product backlogs are effectively prioritized based on data-driven insights. Make critical decisions that balance customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility, with an emphasis on optimizing the user experience.


  • User Experience Excellence:
    Collaborate with UX/UI teams in creating intuitive and seamless digital experiences that resonate with users, balancing aesthetics with functionality. Lead efforts to ensure that design and product functionality continuously improve and meet evolving customer expectations.


  • Technology Collaboration & Development:
    Partner closely with technology leaders to drive the successful development, testing, and deployment of digital products. Ensure that product requirements are translated into high-quality technical outputs that align with business timelines and objectives.


  • KPIs, OKRs, & Performance Management:
    Establish, monitor, and iterate on OKRs and KPIs to assess product success and overall impact on business growth. Use insights from these metrics to influence product roadmaps and decision-making processes, ensuring products deliver against business outcomes.


  • Critical Decision Making & Trade-off Management:
    Demonstrate advanced critical thinking and leadership when assessing trade-offs in product development. Make strategic decisions on functionality, scope, and timing to balance business, technical, and customer needs, guiding teams through complex and ambiguous situations.


  • Vendor & Partner Management:
    Identify and cultivate key external partnerships, ensuring alignment with business needs and unlocking potential for external innovation. Negotiate terms with vendors and influence partner roadmaps to optimize product capabilities and create favorable business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Executive Leadership:
    At least 15 years of experience in digital product management, including 7+ years in a senior leadership capacity. Demonstrated success leading high-impact product launches and driving product innovation at scale.


  • Strategic Vision & Execution:
    Strong strategic mindset with a proven track record of translating complex business objectives into actionable product development strategies that drive tangible results.


  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams across design, development, and marketing to execute product initiatives.


  • Agile Expertise:
    Deep expertise in Agile development methodologies, with a history of advocating for and advancing Agile maturity across product and technology teams.


  • Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Management:
    Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels, from technical teams to the C-suite. Demonstrated ability to present complex product strategies in a compelling and accessible manner.


  • Education & Professional Development:
    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.


  • Digital Transformation Leadership:
    Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives, with a comprehensive understanding of the evolving digital landscape and its impact on user behavior and market dynamics.


  • Innovative & Data-Driven Approach:
    A data-driven leader with the ability to synthesize insights into action and foster a culture of innovation within teams.
