Growth Delivery is the project management function at KinderCare that focuses on the cross functional delivery of new and acquired KinderCare and KinderCare for Employer centers and Crème schools to our fleet. We focus on ensuring positive experiences to families, teachers and staff as we expand KinderCare's footprint through Delivery of Growth Delivery's products:

  • New center openings (and New Center Conversions)
  • Acquisitions
  • Client partnership centers (New Centers and Transition centers)
  • Special projects

As a key member of the Growth Delivery team, the Principal Project Manager (PPM) works to define delivery frameworks, processes and governance to ensure products contribute positive business value and meet agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality business results.

The PPM leads projects within the KinderCare Project Management Framework (Agile/Scrum, Iterative, and Waterfall) from initiation through project close while providing methodology guidance and expertise on project execution.

The PPM inspires the team with a positive and collaborative leadership style and engages with executives, collaborators, and partners throughout all levels of the company to deliver assigned projects at the highest level of excellence.

When you join our team as Principal Project Manager, you will:

  • Act as a nexus between partners to ensure a clear definition of products, bringing cross functional groups along
  • Lead and develop governance across function to develop Growth Delivery products to ensure clear definition, goals and metrics
  • Define governance and work across workstreams and programs to ensure processes deliver against product definitions
  • Define intake processes and create easy to use common tools
  • Lead ongoing delivery of products through workstreams
  • Create reporting and dashboards to summarize workflows across projects and report on progress to senior leadership
  • Lead project team members in achieving desired outcomes of deliverables
  • Manage project dependencies, milestones, and critical path
  • Manage and report project performance, task delegation and stakeholder management
  • Control and track changes to scope, schedule, quality/experience, issues, and risk
  • Elevate risks and issues to leadership level as needed
  • Provide weekly status reports in order to ensure successful delivery
  • Mentor and guide partners and project teams, fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and high performance.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to influence and effectively create solutions using cross functional expertise to define products and tools
  • Highly collaborative working style and ability to listen, understand, influence, and prioritize competing needs
  • Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent judgment, ability to think critically and strong decision-making skills, including risk evaluation, outcomes assessment and solutions determination in a timely manner
  • Adaptable and able to work amid ambiguity and proactively anticipate and solve problems
