The Director of Investor Relations (IR) is a leading member of our Investor Relations team and in partnership with the Corporate Finance team will strategically influence business outcomes. In this role, you'll play a critical role in building investor confidence and belief in KinderCare's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value. This dynamic role collaborates with our Corporate Communications, Financial Reporting, and Financial Planning and Analysis teams, as well as our 3rd party IR team.
The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence leaders and think strategically while providing excellent customer service and communication. You love being part of a team, can analyze data independently, are capable of dealing with complex issues, and should be able to present effectively at an executive level.
A successful candidate will manage timelines and priorities well, partnering effectively with all levels of organization.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with our 3rd party IR team to develop and implement an effective investor relations strategy, enhancing the company's reputation and credibility among investors, analysts, and the financial community.
- Collaborate to support investor inquiries and manage all investor communications, including earnings calls, investor presentations, and investor meetings to effectively influence outcomes.
- Support equity research and investor relationships. Fostering strong relationships with existing and potential investors and analysts to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information about the company's performance, financials, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide insights on market activity, including insightful recommendations and guidance to senior management on investor sentiment and market positioning.
- Synthesize internal financial data into concise and meaningful insights, using financial software and tools.
- Prepare company's Annual Report and 10-K.
- Maintain up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant securities laws and regulations, including preparation and filing of required reports and disclosures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6 years in investor relations, finance, or a similar position with a medium to large sized multi-unit company.
- Demonstrated experience in managing investor relations programs, developing relationships with investors and analysts, and leading investor communications, investor meetings, and analyst days.
- In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations, financial reporting, and corporate governance.
- Highly proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Desirable Skills: Workday, Active Disclosure, AlphaSense, Global IQ, MS Access, Anaplan
- Strong financial competence and a deep understanding of financial markets, including knowledge of investment analysis, valuation, and financial reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present complex financial information to a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to interact confidently and professionally with investors, analysts, and senior executives.
- Able to perform well under pressure and meet timelines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Positive attitude and demonstrated flexibility in running multiple deliverables and re-prioritizing projects when necessary.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills. Able to motivate and inspire a team to accomplish departmental objectives.
- 20% travel for industry conferences, investor meetings and leadership meetings.
- Professional certification such as the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) or Certified Investor Relations Professional (CIRP) is a plus.
- Ability and appetite to lead and engage diverse and equitable teams
