Kforce has a client that is seeking a Release Train Engineer in San Antonio, TX.Summary:The RTE facilitates ART processes and execution. They escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and help drive relentless improvement. Many also participate in the Lean-Agile transformation, coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in the new processes and mindsets. They help configure SAFe to the organization's needs, standardizing and documenting practices.Responsibilities:RTEs typically fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools, such as the Program Kanban and other information radiators
  • Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
  • Facilitate the PI planning event
  • Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives (the RTE) and publish them for visibility and transparency
  • Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Help manage risks and dependencies
  • Escalate and track impediments
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum in lieu of a degree
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience in process improvement, project management, or business/requirements analysis with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master, 1 year as an RTE, or working in a similar role in a lean or Scrum environment
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple Agile delivery frameworks
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Preferred Requirements:
  • P&C PAS Auto experience
  • 2 plus years of Release Train Engineer experience
  • Prior experience in Property & Casualty
Holds SAFe and Scrum Master certifications:
  • Certified SAFex Release Train Engineer
  • Certified SAFex Program Consultant
  • Certified SAFex Advanced Scrum Master

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
