Position Overview:
We have an exciting career opportunity for an IT Lead Technical Project Manager (Ecommerce). Reporting to the Director of Program Management, the person in this role will manage the execution of IT projects, with a primary focus on Ecommerce/website initiatives. Our ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong project management skills to lead cross-functional teams to successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for Ecommerce initiatives, with occasional management of other enterprise IT projects as needed
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to define project objectives, scope and deliverables
  • Create project plans and timelines, monitor progress against the plan, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead and direct cross-functional project teams to meet objectives, driving priorities and motivating team members to take accountability for their deliverables
  • Assist Technology Directors in developing and managing project budgets, ensuring accurate financial forecasting and delivery within budget. Oversee resource allocation and time logging of actuals by team members.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, and act with a sense of urgency to drive ownership and resolution
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables by defining success criteria, facilitating reviews, and monitoring compliance with project standards
  • Support the creation of statements of work (SOWs) with project leadership; may include the coordination of vendor activities
  • Continually manage and align project expectations with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Conduct project lessons learned sessions and create actionable plans to improve future projects

Our Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in technology related field
  • 4+ yrs experience in IT project management, preferably in a Retail environment, for a high-growth company
  • Understanding of Ecommerce and Web platforms, technologies, and integrations
  • Knowledge of best practices in project management processes, controls and methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • A proven ability to break down larger initiatives into consumable achievable tasks to achieve departmental and company objectives
  • Ability to clearly articulate plans and ensure team is aligned
  • A solutions-oriented mentality with a data-driven approach
  • Knowledge of basic accounting/budgeting principles (eg, capital and operating expense), and the ability to apply those principles to project administration
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships to make effective decisions collaboratively
  • A growth mindset: track record of leveraging past learnings, encouraging new ideas and smart risk taking in self and others
