Company Overview
Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal operational requirements, our pebble development laboratory project schedule, all relevant compliance requirements, quality assurance and control operations, and chemical waste and occupational health and safety operations.
- Manage all business operations activities tied to the organization's radiation and safety efforts in order to drive the continuous improvement of the organization's fuel development program, including establishing framework that governs project quality, configuration management, and associated documentation such as various project system breakdown structures, which define the operational processes and systems needed to develop and execute the organization's next generation annular fuel pebble facility.
- Improve a robust nuclear safety and security culture program.
- Provide cross functional direction and supervision to different internal teams to ensure proper safety and business operations are in place.
- Oversee overall strategy definition and execution of plans to establish rigorous nuclear management systems, including Quality Management, Nuclear Safety Culture and Security, and Radiation Protection Programs.
- Will supervise 1-2 professionals.

Qualifications
- Four (4) years’ of experience working in a nuclear technology facility or as a Fuel Radiation Safety & Business Operations Manager or a closely related role.
- Experience must include working with small modular nuclear reactor technology and implementation of quality assurance and occupational health and safety programs.
