Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.
Job Summary
The People Operations Intern will assist in supporting various HR initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and company culture. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in HR operations while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our entire workforce.

- Support the maintenance and administration of HR systems and databases, ensuring accurate employee data management and confidentiality
- Assist in developing and implementing HR toolkits, including onboarding resources, employee engagement initiatives, and performance management tools
- Help create and maintain HR analytics dashboards to track key metrics related to workforce demographics, recruitment, and retention
- Support the recruitment process through candidate coordination, interview scheduling, and maintenance of applicant tracking systems
- Contribute to the development and updating of HR policies, procedures, and documentation
- Assist in organizing and coordinating employee events and recognition programs
- Participate in HR project teams and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Help maintain and organize HR documentation and employee resources
- Support benefits administration and related employee communications
- Assist in coordinating with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support diversity and inclusion initiatives and enhance employee engagement
- Support the development and maintenance of manager resources and training materials for the Management Hub
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Physical Conditions
- Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 10 pounds in all directions
- Communicating with others to exchange information
Environmental Conditions
- General office environment
Safety and PPE
- Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs
- Wearing proper PPE, to include face mask, face shields, gloves, safety shoes
Additional Requirements
- Requires overtime occasionally
- Requires schedule flexibility occasionally
- Requires extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines occasionally

The hourly range for this position is $26 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters. The range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired in California.
