This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.
Job Summary
Kairos Power is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Learning and Development Intern to join our team and support our efforts in empowering employees to achieve their fullest potential. Our Learning and Development team plays a crucial role in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and leadership. As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that support our employees’ development and align with our organizational goals. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Learning and Development while contributing to a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and delivery of training programs, workshops, and learning initiatives
- Collaborate with team members to create engaging learning content
- Analyze feedback and learning data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Help coordinate logistics for training events, including scheduling, materials preparation, and participant communication
- Contribute to projects that foster leadership development, team collaboration, and professional growth
- Support DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives by assisting with programs, training, and resources that promote an inclusive workplace culture
- Research learning and development trends, tools, and best practices to enhance team strategies and programs
- Develop and implement a standardized system for organizing, storing, and sharing learning and development resources
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Passionate about learning and development and helping others grow and succeed
- Organized and detail-oriented, skilled at managing multiple tasks and ensuring quality of work
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with others
- Open to feedback, quick to adapt, and excited to grow professionally
- Proven team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent teaching, training, and coaching skills
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning
- Ability to proactively collect, manage, and transfer knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience within a Learning Management System like Cornerstone is a plus
- Experience with e-learning platforms like Articulate a plus
- Experience with creating and facilitating training is a plus

The hourly range for this position is $26 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters. The range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired in California. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, the market data for your work location, and a comparison to other employees already in the role.
