Who You Are

Justworks is looking for an experienced SEO Manager to join our SEO & Content Team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing both on-page content optimization, technical SEO efforts, and off-page tactics to drive organic traffic and improve organic search conversions. You will work closely with the content and development teams to ensure that SEO best practices are followed and that the website is optimized for both users and search engines. The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to innovate and enjoy testing new ideas to evolve the ways that we reach our goals. 


Reporting to the Senior Manager, SEO & Content, you will collaborate with multiple teams, including development, product marketing, growth marketing and social, to drive the strategy, measurement, testing, and execution of our SEO efforts for Justworks.com.


Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On



  • Collaborate with Senior Manager, SEO & Content to develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy that leverages both on-page and off-page SEO best practices to drive organic traffic and conversions.

  • Grow the number of keywords ranking in the top 10 positions of SERPs.

  • Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis to identify high-value, relevant keywords for content across the website.

  • Identify opportunities to grow VSEO, working closely with our Video Producer to drive optimization of video assets for use across marketing channels. 

  • Collaborate with the content team to develop and implement SEO-friendly content targeting high-priority keywords and perform content decay and cannibalization analysis to support future content efforts.

  • Develop and propose data-driven recommendations for SEO tests and optimizations.

  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the website is operating with SEO best practices in mind, including responsive design and fast load times.

  • Monitor the website's technical SEO performance, including site load times, meta tags, schema, canonical and crawlability, and identify and resolve any technical issues that may be impacting search engine rankings.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practices and adapt the SEO strategy as needed to ensure continued success.

  • Own and implement strategies to grow SEO visibility through AI tools and report on how Justworks.com performs within AI environments. 

  • Analyze and report on website traffic and search engine rankings on a regular basis, using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including growth marketing, product and social to ensure that all stakeholders are working toward the common goal of an integrated strategy.

  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, with a strong understanding of both content optimization and technical SEO best practices.

  • Proven track record of driving results, including improving search engine rankings and driving organic traffic and conversions.

  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and SEOTesting.

  • Experience managing monthly search volume analysis, content decay analysis, content cannibalization analysis, and keyword competition analysis. 

  • Technical background to support Q/A of new page builds, checking meta tags, schema, and canonicals.

  • Quickly learns and adapts to new digital marketing tools and evolving strategies. 

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with Contentful CMS is a plus.


The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $109,000.00 - $119,900.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
