The Global Trusts & Estates Practice is an integral part of the services we offer to clients. With over 200 years of experience in serving as a corporate fiduciary for families, it is important that our Trust and Estate services are delivered by the most capable people, with technical experience as well as the ability to interact well with a variety of types of families and individuals. The Regional Practice Lead is responsible for managing the Trust platform for clients within their region of the Private Bank at J.P. Morgan. The successful candidate will work closely with the Fiduciary Management team, reporting to the Global Head of Trusts & Estates on a National basis.
The Head of J.P. Morgan Trust Company (Bahamas) will be responsible for overseeing a senior team of trust professionals managing approximately $60B in assets. The responsibilities of this role are as follows:
Talent Management
The Head of J.P. Morgan Trust Company (Bahamas)is responsible for overseeing a team of Trust Officers, Trust Administrators and Trust Professionals who manage client relationships where we serve as a trustee or agent for trustee. The role requires technical expertise in the international trust space, management expertise and a track record of success in growing and managing an UHNW client focused business.
Client Relationship Management
The most successful organizations provide unparalleled service and capabilities to their existing clients. The Head of J.P. Morgan Trust Company (Bahamas)works with the Trust Officers and market partners to ensure that Trust Officers are deepening existing client relationships as much as possible, and providing the best client experience possible.
Risk Management
Critical to this role is that the individual be able to guide Trust Officers on questions concerning fiduciary matters as they arise and ensuring that the trust teams meet regular metrics around
account reviews and maintenance. The Head of J.P. Morgan Trust Company (Bahamas) will also be responsible for approving discretionary actions taken by the firm as a fiduciary.
Sales Management
Growing the fiduciary business is a primary emphasis within the firm, and the Head of J.P. Morgan Trust Company (Bahamas)works closely with Trust Officers and partners in the markets to articulate J.P. Morgan's value proposition as a leader in this space. This includes working on regular and ongoing sales management initiatives, and making sure Trust Officers are pursuing all appropriate growth opportunities.
New Business Review and Approval
Oversee business acceptance and administration of all regional fiduciary business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, J.D. preferred
- 15+ years of relevant experience focused in the international trust administration business
- Experience creating development plans for low, mid and high performing employees
- Ability to guide, direct and monitor employees in client specific matters
- Have a vast knowledge of fiduciary products and services including international wealth planning, trust administration and management of corporate entities owned by trusts.
- Strong ability to communicate with Senior Management, including C level executives (CEO, CFO, CTO, etc.)
- Risk Management experience
- Experience with corporate governance and serving on boards of trust companies.
- Experience working with regulators and overseeing regulatory examinations.
- Solid Client Relationship Management experience within the Ultra High Net Worth space
