As a Vice President of Marketing Strategy within JPMorgan Payments, you will lead the development of our strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cohesive brand messaging and innovative marketing initiatives. You will shape our Payments proposition and push forward brand cohesion across all touch points.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a distinctive strategy, identity, and voice for JPMorgan Payments
  • Identify and refine the line of business' unique positioning
  • Conduct and analyze research to gain insights into customer behaviors and market trends
  • Partner with creative teams to translate marketing strategy into innovative campaigns
  • Oversee the development and execution of multi-channel brand and product strategies
  • Build and evolve Payments playbooks to uphold consistency in creative expression
  • Train and educate internal teams on Payments expression standards and strategy
  • Define key brand performance metrics and measure the effectiveness of go-to-market strategies
  • Act as a brand champion within the organization, fostering creativity and innovation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure brand strategies align with business objectives
  • Craft and maintain a messaging architecture to ensure consistent brand promise

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10 years of experience in brand strategy or brand management
  • Proven track record of building and scaling brands, preferably with global exposure
  • Experience in consumer insights and data application for strategic decisions
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, storytelling, and creative development
  • Proficiency in using insights and research tools (e.g., Nielsen, Ipsos)
  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting and selling ideas
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Strong creative thinking and ability to translate complex ideas into compelling brand stories
  • Analytical and strategic mindset
  • Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape and industry trends
  • Experience with brand governance and playbook development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong project management skills
