As a Vice President in the Tax Operations team, you will oversee and enhance processes related to VAT compliance for our organization. You will ensure adherence to EU VAT regulations and their applicability to financial institutions, ensuring that all operational aspects of the process are performed according to the regulation. In this role, you will leverage your strong background in Banking Operations and excellent analytical skills to lead in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day VAT operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant EU VAT laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure complete and accurate VAT collection
- Assess changes in EU VAT legislation and assess their impact on the organization's operations
- Provide guidance on VAT operational processes to internal stakeholders
- Drive the development and implementation of technology-driven solutions to streamline VAT operations
- Support the Tax Operations Manager in various strategic projects and initiatives as needed
- Develop and implement a Governance and Control framework for VAT collection and payment to ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations or tax operations
- Knowledge of EU VAT laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to financial institutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Master's degree or professional tax qualification
- Experience within a multinational corporation or financial institution
- Knowledge of other European tax regulations
- Experience with technology-driven solutions and product management
- Proficiency in French, German, Italian, or Spanish
