User Experience Research Lead

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Drive the development of new research studies by analyzing business strategy and knowledge gaps. Drive product discovery planning with design and product partners. Provide coaching to other researchers in the shaping of their studies and findings to realize greater impact. Drive cross-functional Design Thinking exercises using research findings as a starting point. Identify UX metrics worth tracking. Prepare and teach introductory training material on experience research, primarily for other user experience practitioners. Facilitate stakeholder relationships and scope changes throughout research study. Present findings to team members and stakeholders from multi- disciplinary backgrounds. This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Behavioral Science, User Experience, Information Architecture or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as User Experience Research Lead, UX Researcher, UX Designer, UX Consultant, Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Behavioral Science, User Experience, Information Architecture or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as User Experience Research Lead, UX Researcher, UX Designer, UX Consultant, Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: defining research agenda and scopes within product strategy and business needs; planning and conducting research using a variety of methodologies including concept testing, usability study, semi-structured interview, co-design, and survey; contextual inquiry; diary study; project planning and management; UserZoom; Miro; FigJam; Confluence. This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel.
