US Private Bank Strategy, Executive Director

A role on the US Private Bank Strategy (USPB) team provides the opportunity to support strategic initiatives aligned with the organization's overall business goals; this includes short-term and long-term business growth and digital advancements. The USPB Strategy team is an internal management consulting group that defines and shapes the overall strategy, governance, organizational structure, operating model, architecture, and processes for the US Private Bank.

As an Executive Director on the USPB Strategy team, you will lead project teams to solve complex problems and implement critical initiatives. You will work closely with senior leaders across USPB and JPMorgan Chase, including the USPB Operating Committee, and manage a portfolio of key strategic projects.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead high-priority initiatives/projects to address diverse and complex problems within USPB
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader for USPB senior leaders, collaborating with teams across USPB and other business units
  • Monitor industry trends and apply best practices
  • Develop and deliver executive-level strategy narratives, deliverables, and analyses
  • Guide strategic thinking and problem-solving approaches for project teams; mentor team members and junior managers
  • Lead and develop the US PB strategy team and talent base, with a focus on improving diversity and future-proofing skills

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in business and strategy within internal strategy teams or management consulting firms
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior business executives
  • Familiarity with finance concepts, operating models, and a passion for staying current with industry trends
  • Ability to organize and prioritize critical issues and information to facilitate efficient decision-making; provide oversight and guidance to high-priority projects
  • Excellent technical and business presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven expertise in leading strategic projects; strong facilitation, process, and influencing skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience applying data analysis to solve business problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams

The Strategy team manages mission-critical projects ranging from developing growth strategies, to assessing and planning entry into new markets, to implementing organizational restructurings and operational efficiencies, and more. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with senior executives.
