Job Summary

As a Senior Associate in Credit Portfolio Group (CPG), you will be responsible for Collateral Data Management, GAUSS adherence for all controls and regulations, cross LOBs metrics and projects and building the culture of continuous improvement supporting business across Back Office, Middle offices as well as Global teams. You will be interacting with multiple Operations & Technology teams within the organization to (re)design process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Track remap negotiations actively, including managing the expected demand for NMCR phase 2 (non-cleared margin). Ensure the team is organized to accurately track and control newly signed and amended CSAs.
  • The production team in Mumbai manages CSA discount curve mappings for each Line of Business by:
  • Translating CSA information into Discount curves and FCFs daily.
  • Implementing key controls over changes in CSA data and curve overrides.
  • Ensuring data quality in the CSA Discount curve mapping process.
  • Coordinating a global strategy effectively and efficiently across multiple asset classes.
  • Capturing the impact of CSA changes on PnL and Risk across various asset classes and businesses.
  • Gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce functional specifications as needed. Partner globally with Operations, Technology, and Front Office groups within JPM to define and implement new requirements.
  • Mitigate risk by ensuring JP Morgan's outstanding trade portfolio is effectively controlled through various control and risk mitigation processes. Interact closely with senior experts from different teams and regions, including global Middle offices, Technology, and Compliance, to resolve issues. Facilitate and negotiate extensively in this role.
  • Work actively with the global team and management to achieve both industry and internal targets.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 10 years in a Derivative Operations (Middle Office / Back Office) role
  • Strong numerical, analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
  • The role global in nature therefore will require strong communication skills and the candidate should be highly articulate in the English language.
  • Attention to detail. Demonstrates willingness to deep dive into an issue or problem to establish and address root cause.
  • Drive and motivation: successfully handles and prioritizes multiple tasks, takes initiative and leads to improve own and team's performance, works intensely towards extremely challenging goals and persists in the face of obstacles.
  • Strong team player- effectively collaborates with others both locally and globally.
  • Creativity/Innovation- leads by example to challenge status quo and looks for new ways to improve current processes and procedures. Develop creative solutions that are grounded in reality and have practical value.
