J.P. Morgan manages in excess of $350Bn of collateral balances and processes 20M transactions each year. More than 200 collateral clients globally, with 6,400 CSAs for over 100 third-party buy side clients.
Primary product support falls into 3 categories: Derivatives Collateral Management (DCM), Securities Collateral Management (SCM) & Margin Control.
Primary functions span three global teams:
- Core Operations own day to day processes
- Middle Office have ownership of overall operational client satisfaction
- Client Implementations own the onboarding of new and incremental client/business to the CSO platform
As a Trading Services Analyst in Collateral Services Operations, you will support internal & external clients (predominantly Banks & Broker Dealers) in managing their mar/gin obligations/exposures. You will be involve in the resolution of outstanding issues, to make decisions based on precedent and experience when confronted with frequently conflicting priorities. Where necessary, liaise with other areas to agree a satisfactory conclusion, ensuring minimum impact to Trading Services.

Job responsibilities:
- Review current processing to ensure all controls are maintained and up to date to fit with the current tasks
- Identify gaps in processes and ensure full compliance with SSAE16
- Document and update current workflows and task lists
- Implement any new controls and changes to workflow after appropriate sign-off to minimize financial loss
- Inform and work with Risk Management upon identifying potential risks
- Assess and recommend process improvements proactively to assist in risk mitigation
- Escalate issues to the Manager and be involved in taking action to resolve them with the other party. Review the issue to ensure procedures are updated
- Investigate and, when applicable, assist in implementing new procedures or systems that enhance the overall service of the group
- Ensure all work received is actioned, accounted for, and all control procedures are adhered to. Resolve or escalate issues as necessary
- Follow the specialist's Checklist and ensure all items are actioned on a daily basis, with sign-off occurring throughout the day as necessary
- Assist in tracking trends in work volumes, including reconciliation errors, and document any negative trends and proposed solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Securities Lending, Settlements, Trade Support/Middle Office or COACs role
- Good knowledge of global financial markets
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with strategic internal & external partners
- Exhibit strong analytical skills coupled with independent and reliable decision-making mindset including taking the initiative to take lead in order to drive change and continuously enhance controls
- Flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work and comfortable to deal with pressure and fast pace environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor degree or above preferred
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Tableaux / Alteryx and Python would be beneficial
