Job Summary

  • As a Trading Services Associate, you'll be responsible for Trading and Sales Middle office operations to accurately capture all transactions, complete reconciliation checks, and ensure controls are performed for Credit Derivatives business
  • In your role you will work very closely with the local & primary Middle office teams, traders, trader assistants, PNL, Finance, Tech and OCMs

Job responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems
  • Complete intraday / end-of-day processes including completeness and workflow checks to ensure capture of accurate trade risk
  • Investigating trade break queries raised by Operations, analyzing trade booking /recaps, amending trades in risk management & working with Front Office to assess PNL impact
  • Work closely with various operations functions across Middle office and back office to ensure resolution of exceptions
  • Ensure strong communication with front office and counterparties to address trade mismatches
  • Ensure clear and concise communication with all support teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries
  • Ensure all controls are diligently performed and completed on a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate trade risk capture and affirmation with respective counterparties to address process risk
  • Ensure accurate capture, validation and flow of trade instructions to market for settlement
  • Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
  • Build an in-depth understanding of the trade flow to refine the process and enhance STP

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Graduate / post graduate, preferably in commerce or finance stream
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Global Capital Markets domain, preferably in a Derivative Operations (Middle Office / Back Office) role
  • Knowledge of the front to back operations, trade life cycle (including the key elements such as booking, confirmations, settlements, etc) to facilitate issue resolution across teams
  • Must have clear communication skills and an ability to use these to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge, as appropriate
  • Strong problem-solving skills with control focus and Attention to detail and sense of ownership
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Strong team player and ability to work in a pressurized and changing environment
  • Possess strong analytical and numerical skills and should be flexibility to work global hours and willing to travel
  • Good understanding of Fixed Income and Credit Derivatives products

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Track record of process improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to automation tools like Excel macros, Alteryx, UI Path
