Trade Lifecycle Analyst - Team Leader

The Account Transitions Team in Private Bank Operations is responsible for supporting all asset transfers of all the securities/cash internally and externally along with closure of the accounts in Private Banks. Managing all pre-execution risks - incorrect & delayed trade transfer, Market cutoffs and queue monitoring. Following up with custodian - WSS & DTC for unconfirmed, un-booked transfers

Job Summary

Accurate verification and execution of all Trades, Cash and FX instructions received by internal partners within established service level agreements.Review, monitor and action against daily break, fail and control reports.Timely completion of cancellation and correction requests. Respond promptly and accurately requests & inquiries from the Front Office, Client Service, Custodian and external brokers.Follow up with the Custodian / Counterparty for the Failed Trades. To check Pre matched report and settled deals report. Following up with internal / external counterparty for unconfirmed trades. Coordinate with the cash management team and the Middle Office team. Regular review of various Business Matrix - KPI, Capacity Report, Error Logs, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing operations with minimal or no supervision.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of operational procedures.
  • Understanding, follow and demonstrate compliance with all Risk and Control regulations.
  • Identifying, evaluate and deliver process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring that documentation is maintained up to date.
  • Monitoring and chasing queries to ensure timely completion based on deadlines/urgency/escalations.
  • Building synergies across processes.
  • Taking process trainings for new joiners.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Graduate with 4-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong Client Focus: adhering to response time to client and maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills: collaborate with and lead others by influence, to achieve objectives, with an aptitude for decision making and problem solving.
  • Assertiveness: willingness and ability to challenge the status quo and express opinions,
  • Strong interpersonal skills: can build effective business relationships with cross functional/geographical teams and coordinate with teams to action items.
  • Adaptability: effectively organize and prioritize work to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Candidate should possess in-depth knowledge on International/Domestic Banking mainly - Asset transfers, Automated Customer Account Transfer Services (ACATS) & financial services operations, Securities Market, Fixed Income, Equities and Mutual Fund
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Post Graduate (Preferably MBA in Finance)
  • Investment Banking Operations experience required, Private Banking operations experience would be beneficial.
