Trade Finance Operations Specialist - Analyst (all genders)

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Finance Operations Specialist - Analyst to join our team. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

As a Trade Finance Operations Specialist - Analyst within our Trade & Working Capital Team, you will do the reviewing, processing, verification, administration, monitoring and control of trade finance transactions such as direct and indirect guarantees, SBLCs, import and export letters of credit, collections and Reimbursement claims.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process trade finance transactions
  • Take care about regulatory reporting related to trade finance
  • Handle client inquiries related to trade finance transactions
  • Investigate, analyze and resolve complex customer enquiries/requirements to provide solutions in the operating environment
  • Follow procedures, guidelines, policies and make sure that those are up to date
  • Keep oneself up to date with the firm's policies and standards
  • Review unit processes, recommend/implement improvements as agreed and participate in other initiatives within the EMEA Trade Ops department to support business strategy and objectives
  • Cooperate with front- and back office
  • Continuously strive towards more efficient and robust processes in cooperation with direct Manager
  • Pro-actively seek training opportunities within and beyond your field of expertise

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong knowledge of Trade & Working Capital operations and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to build and maintain a good network of contacts (locally and across different geographies)
  • Team player
  • Ability to work with tight schedules, in a high risk culture
  • Ability to work accurately and apply prioritization

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong understanding of trade finance processing together with up-to-date knowledge of current market practice, UCP600, ISP98, German Federal Code/Law and regulatory issues
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
