This role offers a unique opportunity to support cash equities trading application in Asia, working closely with multiple trading desks including ECS, Single Stock, Program Trading, Prime, Equity Derivatives and Futures & Options. Based in Hong Kong, the regional headquarters of our cash equities business, you'll gain invaluable experience in a dynamic trading environment, supporting DMA, algorithmic trading and high frequency trading business. As part of our Corporate & Investment Bank, you'll help build and maintain technology that services the world's key corporations, governments and institutions, developing solutions for strategic advice, capital raising, risk management, and liquidity extension in over 100 countries.

As a Technology Support III within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Technology - Cash Equities team, you will be tasked with maintaining the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating, and resolving any disruptions in production service across all internally and externally developed systems. Your primary objective will be to ensure a seamless user experience. Additionally, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement within our team.

Job responsibilities

  • Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
  • Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm's systems to ensure operational stability and availability
  • Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
  • Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
  • Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification with 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
  • Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Familiarity with applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment on-premises or in the public cloud
  • Working knowledge of Fix Protocol, Unix, Python
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to one or more general-purpose programming languages or automation scripting
  • Exposure to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Cash Equities business knowledge and Python knowledge is plus
