Technology Support II Credit Trade Floor Production Management Associate

As a Technology Support II team member in in the Global Credit Production Management Team at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Your efforts in troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating, and resolving production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems support a seamless user experience and a culture of continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide front line support to the Credit trading desk
  • Automate manual tasks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
  • Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Fix application and data issues as they arise
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production application flows to ensure end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery supporting the business operations of the firm
  • Improve operational stability and availability through participation in problem management
  • Monitor production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
  • Assist in the escalation and communication of issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
  • Identify trends and assist in the management of incidents, problems, and changes in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
  • Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
  • Knowledge of LINUX/UNIX operating systems, i.e., executing functional commands
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools (Autosys, Control M) and development tools (Jenkins, Git, BitBucket)
  • Experience with database technologies, i.e., ability to develop and execute SQL queries

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Basic Cloud knowledge (AWS or Kubernetes)
  • Previous experience working on a front-office aligned support team (ideally on a trading floor) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience / product knowledge of Fixed Income is highly desirable.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in a DevOps / SRE model would be an advantage
