As a Technical Product Manager in the Platform team, you are the heart of this venture, focused on getting platform features into the hands of our customers. You thrive in collaborative engineering squads and are experienced with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. By your nature, you are solution-oriented, commercially savvy and have a head for FinTech. You are responsible for driving the platform-as-product strategy and roadmap for robust, resilient and scalable platform products. You have a track record of successful technical product delivery and can closely collaborate with engineers and business teams alike. You are passionate about infrastructure and solving the challenges of scaling a platform from initiation to global launch.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision, strategy and roadmap for your platform products.
  • Manage complex customer demands. Identify pain points and define features to solve them. Prioritise feature delivery on your roadmap based on business value and the commercial goals we have for our platform.
  • Partner closely with engineers and business teams to translate product feedback into tangible improvements.
  • Define objectives and key measures of success for your products in order to scale and launch our platform in the market.
  • Drive a prioritised backlog of work across multiple engineering teams to deliver the roadmap in collaboration with Engineering Leads.
  • Be a platform subject matter expert. Provide credible input into platform architecture and solution design, based on your knowledge of customers and technology.
  • Use your technical expertise and knowledge of customer needs to communicate your decisions in front of the business, knowing when to challenge and accept competing points of view.
  • Be hands-on and adaptable when the success of your product requires it. Be able to handle low-level details and make strategic decisions based on the data you have gathered - from the market, industry, internal teams and your own deep experience.
  • Collaborate with the wider product management team to embed best practices for planning and prioritisation across the organisation.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Product management experience in a technical product or platform, ideally in FinTech or financial services. Experience managing technical products from initiation to market launch is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, PaaS and SaaS. You are a technical product leader who is experienced in the build and scale of platforms with global reach.
  • Knowledge of running platforms in production to support high volumes of customer traffic, including resilience, reliability, security, observability, cost management, risk/controls and customer onboarding.
  • Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills. You have experience partnering with multiple teams, managing competing demands and influencing key decisions across the organisation. You have years of experience working with engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • You have managed or mentored other product managers.
  • You are comfortable working within a geographically distributed team.
  • Commercial experience with SaaS billing models, frontend user experiences and knowledge of banking is a plus.
