As a Tech Risk & Controls Associate in Infrastructure Platforms Specialty Platform Services (SPS), you work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards, while supporting technology-aligned process owners in managing operational aspects of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Contributing to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, this role utilizes analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address risks and support larger projects. By fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners, you will help maintain a secure and compliant technology environment for the firm.

Job responsibilities
- Track and record technology-related risks, ensuring compliance with firm, regulatory, and industry standards, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies
- Analyze the health of the risk and control environment, utilizing risk dashboards and other relevant metrics to inform decision-making
- Assist in the management of projects related to risk and control initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with the firm's risk management objectives
- Understand business requirement and plan solution to address data needs
- Partner with tech teams and business professionals to develop metrics aligned with domain priorities
- Prepare reports using various visualization and data modelling methods
- Develop, design, and maintain Tableau/Looker dashboards and analytics
- Collect data from various sources and normalize it
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on risk and infrastructure concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Baseline knowledge or equivalent experience in technology risk management, information security, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management practices, control evaluation methods, and regulatory requirements
- Emerging knowledge in data and analytics, governance, and risk management
- Tableau experience, business intelligence and analytics
- Good data visualization design skills
- Experience using SQL for data preparation
- Experience of data modelling
- Sound knowledge and experience in Tableau Products and versions including Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop
- Understand and transform stakeholder expectations into technical requirement
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or other industry-recognized risk certifications
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality maintainable solutions.
