The Regional Information Security and Supervisory Engagement (RIS&SE) team ensures the right cybersecurity and technology services and controls are in place for the 60-plus countries in which we operate. The team's focus is to maintain security and resiliency in the face of rapidly evolving innovation and emerging technology and a dynamic threat landscape. To add complexity, these issues and challenges are often caught in the crosshairs of geopolitical drivers and national security policies, which requires strategic decisions and speed.

As an Associate working in the Change and Transformation Office (CaTO), within the RI&SSE Cybersecurity Team, you are an integral part of a team that works to facilitate the RIS&SE objectives. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual. The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset, a strong understanding, or ability to quickly grasp key concepts of how underlying security systems work within the Firm's Cybersecurity tool suite, and will understand key regulatory trends in the technology industry. The candidate will have excellent stakeholder communication skills as this role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively across various teams to drive business success.

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
  • Develop a deep understanding of JPMC's underlying systems and processes to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Understanding of key regulatory trends in the cybersecurity and technology industry globally.
  • Collaborate with product, regional and in-country teams to gather requirements and provide analytical support for all initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity and understanding of technical concepts and project updates.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve analytical capabilities.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PPT, Tableau).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Project Management skillset, with an understanding of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Familiar with Control patterns
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience (public, private and/or hybrid).
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
