As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Oversees entire TESS product stack and ensure proper product ecosystem technical practices.
  • Builds and develop SRE practices for products we own.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker, with hands-on experience in containerization technologies.
  • Proficiency in AWS and cloud platforms, with a strong understanding of cloud-native architecture.
  • Advanced skills in data engineering, including the ability to work with large datasets and optimize data pipelines.
  • Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and experience with large language models (LLMs).
  • Strong architectural skills, capable of providing technical leadership, creating future-proof applications, and meeting evolving business needs.
  • Proven leadership in managing and scaling multiple engineering teams, offering strategic direction and technical guidance.
  • Experience with architecting scalable solutions, with a focus on performance, security, and best practices.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver future applications aligned with organizational growth and innovation.
  • Strong management skills, capable of mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional teams.

Required Tools and Languages:

  • Programming Languages: Python, Go, Java, or similar languages for backend development.
  • Cloud & DevOps Tools: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), Terraform, Ansible.
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • AI & ML Tools: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other ML frameworks.
  • Data Engineering: SQL, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop.
  • Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
