Talent Development Analyst, Commercial & Investment Bank

The global Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Talent Development team addresses talent management and development, performance management, diversity, equity and inclusion, change management and leadership and management training. The team has considerable depth of expertise, and designs and delivers programs, events and interventions of a world-class standard. It is highly-regarded by the HR partners and the businesses with whom we work.

You will be based in Chicago, focused on supporting the CIB Talent Development team globally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the CIB Performance Development lead in facilitating the firmwide review process
    • Become familiar with the performance development tools to advise our clients on functionality and reporting capabilities
    • Coordinate performance development communications and meetings with our HR partners
    • Manage reporting requests in partnership with our HR Support team
  • Support the annual CIB talent review process focused on succession planning and raising awareness of top talent

  • Extract talent data as key inputs for executive presentations for CIB leaders
  • Collate and prepare CIB responses to talent requests by partnering firmwide HR teams
  • Support the CIB MD Promotion Process
    • Partner with Talent and HR partners to support in project managing the promotion process and MD workshop (manage reporting and organize and execute communications and logistics)
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion talent related initiatives across the CIB in partnership with Talent Advisors/HR Business Advisors
  • Support the development of an end-to-end talent development agenda for aligned client groups through partnership with Talent Advisors, business leaders, HR Business Advisors
  • Project manage diversity, equity, and inclusion talent related initiatives

  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

    • A minimum of one year of HR or project management experience
    • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint (creating, formatting & editing presentations), and Excel (v-look ups and pivot tables)
    • Strong analytical skills - ability to provide clear, effective, and concise reporting / extract themes / draw conclusions, ability to assess situations using both qualitative and quantitative factors
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills - ability to develop, write and edit marketing and communication materials with attention to detail
    • Flexible, responsive and adaptable, ability to manage multiple priorities, with the ability to work well with a geographically-dispersed teamExperience working with internal clients, with an aptitude for building strong relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Excellent project management, planning and organizing skills
    • A strong learning orientation, in order to quickly acquire new techniques, tools and methods - may be evidenced by strong academic background at degree level
